Status Effects can either be inflicted onto the player by various Monsters and Remnants alike, or through other means. They serve to hinder the player's ability to attack and leave them vulnerable to attacks. Duration and damage depends on the enemy. Most Status effects can be dispelled or resisted with their corresponding Amulets.
The active duration of status effects is depicted by an icon that appears next to the minimap when inflicted on the player.

Carrying too much weight results in the player moving slowly and won't gain any experience.
